Ca. 1986 Fender American Vintage 62 Reissue Jazz Bass, olympic white. Made in USA, serial number V026159. We believe this to be a very early 1986 production bass with some leftover parts from the Fullerton factory. The neck feels exactly like a Fullerton Reissue Jazz Bass. Neither the neck nor the body date are legible. The Volume-Volume-Tone configuration (this was an option for the Japanese market from the beginning of the Reissue series it appears) with 1984 dated potentiometers and the low serial number are further indications for an early 1986 manufacturing date. The obvious changes are the black pickguard and the black plastic shim under the neck plate, the rest of the bass appears to be completely original. Weighs 4.05kg.
