1971 Fender Mustang Bass competition burgundy

1971 Fender Mustang Bass, competition burgundy. Made in USA, serial number 303075. This bass is all original, except for two strap button screws and the missing mute assembly. The competition 'burgundy' color has turned into a nicely yellowed lake placid blue / green over the years. This one has a December '70 neck date, 51st week of '70 pot and '70 pickup codes so the build process started in late '70 and the bass left the Fender factory sometime in early '71. Incidentally also one of the very last competition Mustang Basses with matching headstock. It shows a lot of wear, has great frets still and sounds fantastic. Comes with a gigbag. Weighs a hair below 3.6kg.
