1971 Fender Stratocaster, olympic white. Made in USA, serial number 299327. This guitar has an old and very professional nitro refinish (see pictures), it looks and feels wonderful. It once had Schaller tuners mounted (originals are back on) and the bridge pickup was swapped. It now mounts a nice reissue pickguard with pearloid back and aluminum shield. New CTS pots, CRL switch and a cool '69 style green chicklet tone cap. Replaced Pat. Pend. bridge saddles, tremolo, pickup height screws, second string tree and then removed. The bridge pickup is either a '73/74 black bottom or a ca. '83/84 Fullerton Reissue black bottom (has plastic leads installed), sonically and aesthetically a very pleasing match to the other two original (1970 dated) pickups. The middle pickup was either rewound or had the leads replaced at one point. Original volume and tone knobs. Was recently professionally refretted with jumbo frets. Has a very dark and pretty fretboard and a nicely flamed neck. Comes with a ca. 1980s Fender tweed hardshell case. Overall this guitar has quite the story to tell, but it's ready to go and worth checking out, 1971 was the last year for the original four-bolt neck Strats! Weighs only 3.45kg.
