1974 Gibson Les Paul Standard Conversion, cherry red. Made in USA, serial number 402487. This guitar was born as a Les Paul Deluxe and was converted to Standard humbucker pickup routes. The pickups are sought after 1980s Gibson Tim Shaw PAFs. The guitar features a recent Gibson ABR-1 bridge and an aluminum tailpiece, Kluson double ring tuners. As you can see, most parts have been replaced and upgraded to give the guitar an authentic Burst sound and look. The electronics and the back plates are original to the guitar. The most amazing thing about this guitar is the two-piece almost (off by about 2mm) center-matched maple top which is impossible to find on a 1970s Les Paul. The guitar was made at the Kalamazoo factory and has a three-piece mahogany neck with a rather fat profile and the trans tenon construction. The headstock wings were partially reglued as these often have small stress cracks along the glue seam. Comes with a 1990s brown Gibson hardshell case. Weighs only 4.35kg!
