Ca. 1983 Fender Japan Stratocaster '57 Reissue in slick black finish. Has no serial number but bears the first owner's name on the neckplate instead: Shinichi Kunishima (common for higher grade first edition Fender Japan instruments in the early 1980s). This guitar is dated to late 1983 (body) and 1984 (neck) and has had quite a life, namely an overspray on the black body, which has luckily been removed without damaging the original finish in the process (there are a few extra holes under the pickguard). The pickguard (pickups, pickguard, pots, switch) is a complete Fender USA assembly that came off a 1987 Fender American Vintage '57 Reissue Strat. This guitar thus sounds absolutely amazing. The neck feels great, too, and shows considerably less wear than the body. Weighs 3.5kg only!
