1983 Fender Stratocaster American Vintage 57 Reissue Fullerton sunburst

1983 Fender Stratocaster American Vintage '57 Reissue, sunburst. Made in USA at the Fullerton factory, serial number V013601. This guitar received a 'hair metal' treatment in 1987 with DiMarzio pickups, 500k pots, new pickguard and a locking nut. Luckily we managed to find a set of correct 1983 pickups and rewired with the correct 250k CTS pots. The locking nut was removed a long time ago and the area repaired and touched up, not the prettiest to look at, but not too bad either. Also the pickup and electronics were shielded (6 small enlargements from extra long pickup height screws are also present). The guitar is otherwise a stunner, with lots of weather checking in the nitro lacquer, lots of wear overall, but the frets still have some life left in them. Comes with a Fender tweed deluxe gigbag. Weighs a bit less than 3.4kg only!
