1983 Fender Stratocaster American Vintage 57 Reissue sunburst

1983 Fender Stratocaster American Vintage 57 Reissue, sunburst. Serial number V007398. Very rare early Fullerton reissue production. This guitar has been played a lot and has seen quite a few smoky bars. The pickguard was once spraypainted blue and there is a route for a humbucker in the bridge pickup position and it appears that only the neck pickup is original to the guitar, even though they all show the same age upon visual inspection (and they sound very good indeed). The middle pickup is most likely a vintage Seymour Duncan and the bridge pickup can't be identified. Due to two of the 250k pots dating to 1984, it's likely the changes all happened around there, the remaining original pot dates to late 1982. It looks like the guitar was almost going to be a candy apple red specimen, but they must have needed an extra sunburst that day so they switched over - a very common practice on the Fullerton reissues. Comes with the original Fender tweed hardshell case. Weighs a hair over 3.3kg only.
